Why?
I bet you're asking why Soujiro. Why the little kid member of the Juppongatana? Why him? He's probably the most harmless one of them all.
Wrong. Although Soujiro is the strongest of all Juppongatana, and could have easily defeated Kenshin had he set his mind to do so, this is not my reason for creating this shrine.
I can give no straightfoward reason as to why I made this shrine. Maybe I like the guy. Maybe I'm fascinated by his personality, entranced by his pretty (there's no other word for it) face or charmed by his smile. Maybe I pity him for what his family did, for what he went through, for what Shishio did to him.
Soujiro is a complex character, so complex in fact that from the time that he disappears from the storyline, its hard to imagine what path he could have taken. Considering how he left, the possibilities are absolutely endless.
Like I said.. I don't know why I made this shrine. My reason could be one of those listed above, or all of it or even none.
I could say I simply admire Soujiro.
He had the strength to go through his family's mistreatment. He survived Shishio's training which we can only try to imagine. He had the natural skill of a warrior.
Most of all, he had the strength, courage and willpower to start his whole life all over again to seek his own answers.
